Off to the airport...

The kids are arriving today! The last few days have been full of training and learning so much. The team has also been able to spend some time bonding while exploring Vancouver. We left yesterday to come back to Washington to stay at Camp Brotherhood. Unfortunately there have been some issues with the Canadians visas and our Canadian team members could not come to the States with us. We are praying that they will come through quickly! They won’t be able to meet the kids at the airport so that is disappointing. But God is in control and in His timing all things will work out, but we would appreciate your prayers.

Once we arrived in the States we began preparing all the kids bags with clothing and toiletry items as well as prepping the rooms where we will be staying for the next week. Our first concert is on the 25th and so we will continue to prep for that.

Today we are off to the airport to pick up the kids from the airport and meet our African Chaperones! I can’t wait; it is really exciting!!! Finally, it is time for what we have been preparing for, to be an auntie.

Training in British Columbia

Hello there!

I am currently in British Columbia training with my wonderful team! It has been a busy last couple of days. Travel was long and with only slight delays. We have had some training and team bonding. I have experienced Timmy's. It is wonderful and I think I am now an addict. It is probably the best coffee I have ever had =)

The next couple of days we will be doing more training and getting ready for the kids to arrive later this week. I am really excited for the whole team to be together!

It's almost time!

Here are some pics of the kids from Choir 35! They have been in Uganda for several months preparing for tour. I can't believe it is almost time for me to leave for tour.

I am ready to start, to meet the kids and other chaperones, and to be on the road. I was thinking about tour today and wondering what it would be like, what it would look like. I am preparing for the unknown in a way. It is now time to take that step of faith. I am expecting so many wonderful things for this year, yet I have a feeling those expectations do not even compare to what I am about to experience!
