JOY.

Joy. It is a word that many people think they have a grasp on. And to be honest I thought I did too. After being on the road for a month I am realizing what joy really is from people less than half my age. These 23 children truly enjoy life, every moment of it, no matter how small. Yes, they have experienced terrible things and they feel different emotions each day, yet they still have an unwavering joy.

This JOY is RESILIENT.

Webster defines it like this: a: capable of withstanding shock without permanent deformation or rupture b: tending to recover from or adjust easily to misfortune or change.

Psalm 9:1-2 I'm thanking you, God, from a full heart, I'm writing the book on your wonders. I'm whistling, laughing, and jumping for joy; I'm singing your song, High God.

So, I am learning joy from the experts. =)

Oh, can joy involve going to the first Starbucks?

A podcast church

It has been a while since I have gone to church. Don't get me wrong, I am in different churches 7 days a week and yet I have not GONE to church. And to be honest, I miss it. I miss sitting and learning and listening. Funny the things that we take for granted when we have them. Podcasts are a wonderful thing and they will be very useful on tour. I understand what a life of ministry feels like and how much of yourself is poured out. And so I am learning how to obtain my sustenance solely from God.

Perhaps I am seeing a truer picture of The Church.

A Wonderful Day

Today was a wonderful day due to the fact that it is the day before the First day of Fall. This is cause for much celebration as fall is my favorite season. Tomorrow I will celebrate with Pumpkin Spice Lattes and Hot Apple Ciders.

We had lots of fun at the park today!

And then as a surprise we watched Finding Nemo with the kids! They were so excited and even clapped and cheered when Nemo and his dad were reunited. =)
James was all set for the movie I guess!

It's been a while!

I haven't posted anything in a while, so while the kids are taking a nap I thought I would post some pics! Things here have been great! A little crazy with some changes but it is keeping us all flexible. My team is wonderful. We have had lots of fun over the last week and a half.

So I would write some more, but I really can't process anything right now, just too much that I would want to say! So until next time...
